  • Spode & Royal Worcester Back in ENGLAND!

After the Portmeirion works completed its purchase of Spode and Royal Worcester's Intellectual rights (sadly not the factory ) the firm has announced it will continue production of two lines of SPode: Italian(in continuous English production since 1816) and Woodland. The firm is planning on reintroducing several of Spode and Royal Worcester's patterns from its 200+ year history in order to revive interest in the brands and keep them "Unique" from the Portmeirion lines. Hopefully the quality level will be parallel with the old Spode and Worcester Quality! Maybe we will begin to see some Bone China patterns recreated and some of the old Iconic Worcester (Bishop Sumner) and Spode (Grasshopper, Willow, Broselely) recreated and manufactured in the best English tradition.
